🐾 Stubby Needs a New Living Situation 🐾
Stubby is a 15-month-old Retriever mix weighing 66 lbs of pure handsome, goofy love. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and has had obedience training — he knows sit, down, wait, stay, heel, and come (and is VERY treat motivated!). He thrives with positive reinforcement and loves to learn.
Stubby would do best in an active home with teens or adults, a fenced yard, and ideally another friendly dog. He loves to run, play fetch, sprint after squirrels (almost!), and he is OBSESSED with snow. ❄️ He’s a big teddy bear who wants belly rubs, attention, and to be near his people at all times. When you get home, expect a full celebration — zoomies and a toy flip included.
He can be a nervous guy and prefers a predictable home. High-pitched noises (doorbells, phone dings, squeaky toys) make him anxious, and quick movements on walks can startle him. Because of this, he’s best suited for a calmer household without young children.
Stubby is also a power chewer (bones beware!) and needs plenty of exercise and enrichment — but at night, he’s all about couch snuggles.
He had a great time at our recent adoption event — nervous at first, but soon making friends with dogs and volunteers. Once he settles in, his sweet personality really shines.
If you’re looking for a loyal, active companion and best buddy, Stubby might be your guy.
